Problems in Arana Gulch

Jan 24, 1999: Property in the Arana Gulch watershed highlands on Paul Sweet Rd. Apple orchard experiencing extreme erosion over the previous months.

Feb 27, 1999: Santa Cruz Harbor at the terminus of the Arana Gulch Watershed. Note sediment in navigation channel caused by upland erosion. Sedimentation occurred when February storms brought sand and silt material down Arana Creek. Tide -.6 MLLW datum. Normal depth +7 ft.
